It is with great excitement that Central Office is pleased to announce the 2018-19 Teacher of the Year and Para Educator of the Year.  Jennifer Lizee-Hammer, Literacy Curriculum Specialist at Webb and Emerson-Williams Schools and Pat Mahder, Para Educator at Hanmer School were surprised with this great honor today!

Jennifer Lizee-Hammer was nominated by teachers at Webb and they shared:

To say that Jenn brought a “light” into Webb with her would be a huge understatement.  She embodies warmth, authenticity, genuine concern and a passion for learning and collaborating that is unmatched in our opinions. Her genuine excitement to share her expertise, whether it be workshop, student work analysis, small group design, learning progressions or “next steps,” is contagious.  She approaches every request for help with excitement and a “Let’s Do This!” attitude.

Pat Mahder was nominated by teachers at Hanmer and they shared:

Pat has great relationships with all students in the classroom and with others across the building.  She is dedicated to making a change with every student she works with.  Over the years, Pat has had the opportunity to work with very challenging students and she always welcomed a new challenge.  She is determined, patient, firm and incredibly loving.  She has touched many little hearts over the years and supported many families.  Pat is always positive.  After a hard day at work she will come back the next day with a smile on her face ready to make a difference.   She makes students feel safe and welcomed.

Please join us in congratulating Jennifer and Pat!
