Hartford Courant 

This is not the Hartford Courant website. Withour subscription, News in Education provides access to the daily paper online. Online articles include such features as translate (100+ languages), print individual articles, text to speech audio, and many more.


Collection includes information on the history, culture, and biographies of famous people from around the globe. Editions available with our subscription: World, Kids, States (U.S.), and Provinces (Canadian).

Collection covers topics in careers and history, as well as a rhyming dictionary. Titles included: Atlas of the North American Indian*, Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance*, Eyewitness to America’s Wars* (colonial wars to the war in Iraq), Middle East Almanac*, and Words to Rhyme With*.

Gale/CengageIn Context Opposing Viewpoints

This collection of materials on controversial issues includes entries from the Opposing Viewpoints Series, as well as journal, magazine, newspaper and reference articles.  Many topics also include images, video and audio archives..

Grolier Online

Access to five encyclopedias: Encyclopedia Americana, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, New Book of Knowledge, New Book of Popular Science, and Lands & People, as well as a built in dictionary and atlas. Other features include links to international newspapers, websites, and related periodical articles. 

Marshall Cavendish Reference

World Book Online

Titles in this subscription include three leveled encyclopedia: World Book Kids, World Book Student, and World Book Advanced*, as well as World Book Discover and Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos. Special features include periodicals, website links, read aloud option, translations, and multimedia (pictures, graphs, video, charts). 


This citation and research tool allows students to record, organize and synthesize information using online note cards as well as to create and format bibliographies in MLA, APA, or Chicago/Turabian style from any networked device anywhere, anytime.  In addition, students can “share” work with teachers and partners. The Wethersfield High School class of 2018 graduation is scheduled for Friday, June 22, 2018 at Cove Park.
On March 6 2018, 33 Wethersfield High School students attended the Connecticut DECA Career Development Competition at the Aqua Turf in Southington. Approximately 1100 students from across the state of CT participated and competed in this conference which serves as a showplace for skills learned by students in marketing education instructional programs Fourteen students from Wethersfield received awards and earned the right to attend the national conference which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia (April 21 - 25).
