Charles Wright School celebrated Special Person's Day on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Well over two hundred thirty-three parents, grandparents, and other relatives visited student classrooms. Guests were welcomed by Principal Horter in the cafeteria where they received a Special Person's Guidebook to guide them through their hour long visit. The guidebook included pages dedicated to leaving a note in the classroom to their special younger person, the teacher, or even give feedback about the event. Guests also were able to leave a large brightly colored post-it "Shout-Out" note on our "Cheering Gallery Wall" in the cafeteria for their special younger person to see when he/she arrived at lunch. When in the classroom, our Special Persons were able to both observe the class at work as well as participate in the activities. The time was enjoyed by all! A special thank you to the teachers whose planning and hard work make this event so successful!
