The Wethersfield Public Schools recognize the importance of parent participation. The PowerSchool Parent Portal is an Internet based system that allows you to check in on your child's academic progress. We encourage you to make use of our Parent Portal to keep in touch with your child's grades and attendance records throughout the school year.  Please click on the "PowerSchool parent" icon (above) to login.

What will PowerSchool’s Parent Portal allow me to see?
PowerSchool's Parent Portal provides real-time access to student grades, attendance, assignments, and more.

If I am new to the district, how should I obtain a user name and password?
Contact your child's school.

Is the Parent Portal available during the summer when school is not in session?  
Please be advised that the PowerSchool Parent Portal is not available during the summer months when school is not in session. You will be able to login to the Parent Portal again at the start of the new school year with your existing username and password. Please retain your login information in a safe place over the summer. Parents of new students will receive a letter via mail that includes instructions for creating a Parent Portal account.  

How should I view PowerSchool if I do not have a computer at home?
You may log on to PowerSchool at any computer that has Internet access. The Wethersfield Public Library has computers available for public use. 

What if I lose or forget my password?
If your password is lost or forgotten you can access the “Having trouble signing in” link on the login page to have your information e-mailed to you. The login information that is e-mailed to you must be used within 30 minutes of the request, or you will need to submit a new request from the link.

May I use the same user name and password for all of my children in the district?
Yes, once you create your single sign on account you can access all of your children in the district from your account. You've been mailed a letter for each child with your confidential information.

I don’t understand the grades that have been entered and I have questions, who do I contact?
Please contact your child’s teacher via email through the Parent Portal or via phone.

I don’t understand my child’s schedule, who do I contact?
Please contact your child’s guidance counselor.

What if I want others to have access to my child’s grades (Grandparents, Aunt/Uncle)?
If you want others to have access to your child’s grades via PowerSchool’s Parent Portal, you will need to provide them with the student’s access ID that was provided to you by the school. It will be the responsibility of each parent/guardian to distribute (or not distribute) this access ID as they see fit.

Another option within the Parent Portal would be to set email notifications for multiple email addresses. These email notifications send recipients requested information such as current grades, detailed reports of assignments and scores, as well as attendance. To setup email notifications, see the “Email Notification” section of the Parent Portal User Guide.

Note: When adding multiple email addresses in the Email Notification section of the Parent Portal, make sure they are separated by a comma with no space after the comma.
Ex: mom@somedomain.com,dad@somedomain.com

Quick Overview of the Portal Buttons

Click “Grades and Attendance” to:
• open a blank email message to send to the teacher
• view grades and assignments
• view absences and tardies
Click “Grades History” to view final grades from previous classes.
Click “Attendance History” to view attendance.
Click “Email Notification” to set your email preferences.
Click “Teacher Comments” to view any notes left by the teacher.
Click “School Bulletin” to view the daily announcements.
Click “Class Registration” to request classes for next year (implementation to be announced).

Mrs. Ziegler was selected to study abroad during the month of July as part of the 2017 Fund For Teacher Fellowship. Her and a colleague from Meriden wrote a specialty grant detailing an instructional learning experience that they would take in Europe. We are so proud of her and so proud that she is representing Wethersfield and Webb Elementary School.
