Highcrest School was established in 1969. It is a school community where the teaching learning process is highly valued and where students, staff and parents work together to maintain a positive and spirit filled environment. Students' eagerness to learn and perform is promoted by points in the Highcrest Pledge. The Highcrest Pledge, a reaffirmation of the expectations staff members and parents have for all students, encompasses the mission of the Wethersfield School System and encourages students to accept a personal commitment to their own education.
