Principal's Message:

Dear Hanmer Families,

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. This promises to be a busy and exciting year at Hanmer School. Our goal is to provide the highest quality education in a safe and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential. We work to instill in students a  sense of responsibility and respect for themselves, their school and the community.

To help students achieve this goal, we strive to develop a strong home-school partnership.  Teachers communicate regularly with parents about the curriculum and other classroom news.  Teachers also report on student progress regularly and invite parents to help out with a variety of class activities. Our PTO at Hanmer School is a vibrant and active group. They are instrumental in creating opportunities for parents to take an active role in our school and they provide a variety of enriching experiences to our students. 

Our school newsletter, Hanmer Happenings, is posted online and offers an update on what is happening at our school. We hope to make it easy for all Hanmer families take an active role in their child’s education.
