The Charles
Wright PTO is a non-profit organization established to serve
the families of Charles Wright and to help support the
students, staff and curriculum. The PTO promotes
communication between our school and parents, and offers a
multitude of volunteer opportunities. The PTO takes an
active role in the enrichment of our school, with many hours
devoted to school-wide projects that benefit our students
and school community.
We meet the
second Thursday of each month during the school year. It is
highly recommended that you attend these meetings as every
parent is automatically a member of the PTO, and as such,
can help make important decisions that affect all of our
children. We meet at 7:00 pm in the Charles Wright
library. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with
other parents and to get to know the staff of Charles Wright
School as well. Teachers attend each meeting. Our interim
principal, Mindy Wilkie shares important information with us
about what is going on at
Charles
Wright
School.
There are
many opportunities to get involved with the Charles Wright
School PTO. You can serve on the board, sign up as a
committee chair, or be on a committee and attend occasional
meetings. A great variety of volunteer opportunities are
available with a wide range of positions available to fit
your schedule and areas of expertise. You can jump into a
leadership role, or just help clean up after an event. Every
little bit helps to make our PTO strong and support our
school, and our children.
Please
attend a meeting to find out more. You can also get in touch
with any of the PTO Board members.
